Dealer quotes 3 hours to replace heater core, 12 hours to do the bellows job. I thought the heater core job was as involved as the bellows, to the point of if you are going all the way to the heater core you could easily do the bellows while you are there. I asked the service guy several times if he was sure on the 3 hours and he confirmed. BTW, we are talking $100/hour. For a 1996 with 157k miles 12 hours labor with $300 for a core and more for bellows-maybe a $2000 repair, OUCH! Do you all think they have under billed the heater core labor hours? I can live without the bellows, but the heater core is an issue.
Thanks in advance for comments/opinions.
