Volvo 240 Vs. Rhodies 200 1993

Hi : Is it safe (for the car!) to use our 240 to yank out some Rhodies ? We have a wagon (186K). The car has a piece of steel with a hole protruding behind and beneath the bumber on the passenger side. We are thinking of chain or rope around the bush and tied to that hole. Does not appear to interact with the bumper. Any suggestions ? Thanks to ALL !
