I finally found a 940 wagon in my area. I have been looking for a while. I am hoping I found a diamond in the ruff. I bought it from the original owner who had it dealer serviced - there are service stamps up to 130k miles. there is a recipt for the 150000 mile service and a sticker on the windshield for the next synthetic oil change at 157 k
It does have a fw issues and some rust but it runs cool, there are no strange engine noises and the transmission seems to run fine. I was happy when I stopped in some snow and stepped on the gas and the drivers tire spinned. nice. should help in the snow. I had some fun in a parking lot getting to know the way the car slides and corrects when turning too fast, I didnt do a full doughnut but I did whip it from side to side a couple of times.
These are great cars =))
the dog doesnt like it as much as the truck, he preferred being a sight hazard and sharing the bench seat up front with me, lol!
Even though it was 10 degrees here in upstate ny today I went and had the car washed and it looked good =))
this should be a good vehicle for the dog and kayak.
I am going to post some questions about the problems with the car so far. I am going to look into the two independant mechanics this week and try to get this car in better driving shape. I look forward to learning from the brick board members experience with these vehicals. thx.
