What if the oil draing tube under your breather box is broken? How bad? 200 1993

I bought this 93 blk 245 about 2 months ago with body and interior in perfect condition. It's from a used Volvo dealer. From what I learned now, the car has a blown head gasket. The dealer must have bought it cheap and replaced the head gasket. Being who I am, I took off the intake manifold and scrub cleaned everything on that side including the breather box. To my great disappointment, after I took of the box, the top section (~2") of the draining tube came out of the hole without any resistance (clean cut on the bottom). Looking into the hole, it looks like the bottom portion which is still secured the oil pump has very rough cut or rip.

Without enough time planned for an oil pan removal job, I put everything back together the way it was. I assumed that the only result of not having the drain tube “properly installed” as described in the manuals is having excess amount of oil going into the plumbing between the AMM and the TB (I did see more oil in there after a few days of driving).

My question is: What’s the worst consequences of not having the drain tube “properly installed”? The manuals and everything else I read only tell you not to mess with that tubing, otherwise you need to drop the oil pan to install it properly. Could the previous blown head gasket have anything to do with this? Do I need to drop the pan and get everything right before do more driving? Please offer your opinions. Thanks. Erwin
