Need help witht a tailight problem 200 1990

I have a 1990 240dl. The problem is whenever I turn on my headlights the left rear tailight goes out. All the lights work fine until I turn on the headlights. I have checked and rechecked the light socket configurations and replaced all of the bulbs with the same brand. Any suggestions?
