My beloved 1983 240 4-door brick has been having, ah, issues.

Most recently, the horn has stopped working.

More precisely:

a. Horn itself works fine when voltage directly applied

b. Steering wheel switch contacts work fine

c. Sometimes when car is cold horn will work for 1-2 "beeps". Then nothing.

SO.

I suspect the relay.

Anyone care to offer suggestions confirming or offering other hypotheses for me to check / test?

And where the heck IS the horn relay on my volvo? (Under dash... where? What color box?)

And can it be resoldered? (And if not, anyone know where to buy one?)

(I'm an ex-New Yorker, need my horn, no-one in California knows how to drive...)
