Hi,

I'm trying to figure out why my '91 240 won't shift out of park unless I press down on the yellow unlock lever. Also, it will only start if I move the shifter into reverse. I tried adjusting the PNP switch a little, but that didn't help.

I took the shifter box out to replace two missing screws in the bottom that hold the whole thing together (the whole shifter was moving around). The car was like this when I bought it a few months ago.

I'd appreciate any ideas.
