90 volvo 240 (weird) plz read.. 200

I got everything working in the tailight assembleys! Thats the good news. Now, to get that light out indicater to disapear. When I pressed the drivers side / pass side window switch, it shuts off then comes back on when I release it! How can I get it to stay off? also does any one have a good volvo for $500 that I can fly up and drive home in decent condition?
