Water leak, drivers side 200 1989

It rained fairly hard last night. This morning I discovered the front floor on the drivers side was wet on my new 89 244. I'm pretty sure it was dry when I got the car. It has hard plastic floor mats, and I distincly remember checking under all four of them. Any suggestions as to where to look when it stops raining? It's not the hole where the wires and hose went through for the cruise control I removed. I plugged that with a correct original rubber grommet, which fits well and shows no evidence of leakage, certainly not of the amount of water that is now inside the car.

It could be the windshield but it is hard to tell, as the molding is pulled away from the glass in that area, and has been goobered with goo. There does not appear to be any rust in the area. (I have yet to find any anywhere on the car, in fact) I think the windshield may have been replaced (with an original Volvo one, if it has been) and if that is the case, some of the clips might have gotten broken, and the installer tried to glue the molding down to hide his mistake. I'm not really ready to tear into it yet, as I want to have an undamaged molding and a supply of replacement clips on hand before I do so. Anything else it could be?
