Changing 240SE boot gas absorber 200

My 92 240SE boot gas absorbers are shot and the boot keeps closing on it's own.

Managed to source replacement absorbers. ANy tips on how to change them?

They don't look as straight forward as the wagon absorbers.

Hints and assistance appreciated.
