Sunroof headliner removal 700 1990

Just had a quick question and want to clear up something. Do you have to remove the headliner to remove the sunroof panel headliner part? I read both brickboard and ipds instructions and they are slightly different. Reason I ask is that I am taking the headliner out of a 97 965 to put in my 90 745T this weekend. The 965 has a moonroof and I wont be taking that and the sunroof panel headliner is different. I want to eventually match up the sunroof panel color with the 965s headliner color. Thanks!

***EDIT*** Okay, I found the thread on this...looks like its a bit complicated but doable. Any other advice other than what was said in the previous thread on this?

Also I should ask if the 965 headliner will work on my 745T...they seem to measure the same...on a wagon its pretty easy to remove...and its the nicer material and cheap!
