There is an '87 760 turbo wagon for sale locally and seller is asking $2710
Here is his original ad...
This has been my primary commuter vehicle since I bought it in 1994.
I have maintaned it perfectly throughout by the same mechanic, Tom Spooner of Voltek.
I have all the records since it was new. Kelly Blue Book quotes its value in "good" condition at $2,710.
I will accept any reasonable offer for a quick sale.
Tinted power windows, leather seats, roomy, great highway car.
Always reliable and very safe. Perfect for around town, your nanny or visitors, 20 mpg.
Here is his response to my inquiry...
I'll be around all afternoon if you want to come by and take a look.
Current mileage: 260K
Mileage at last timing belt change: 230K
Does A/C work: yes, rebuilt two years ago
Any rust: No
Any peeling/faded paint: No
Any accidents/paintwork: No
Assuming auto trans: Yes, with overdrive
Color (exterior and interior) exterior looks grey: Yes, dark silver/Grey.
Looks great when washed and waxed.
Also, new stereo/speakers. Good rubber and aftermarket alloy wheels.
The only maintenance it needs right now and which I would bring in to do if
I were keeping it, is new front brake pads and bearings, and adjustment to
the transmission (it has been a little chunky when shifting from 12t to 2nd
but very smooth otherwise.
Cruise control does not work, probably a simple fix, and driver power seat
controls inoperative. Since I am the only driver I have it set where I want
it, and you can do same using manual drive access beneath the seat.
We have been driving it to south Texas twice a year for vacations and it
absolutely cruises. The only reason I am selling it is because we got a
minivan to do greyhound rescue transport, otherwise I'd keep it running
another 250K!
I am very motivated to sell it this week, even today if possible, so bring
cash and a reasonable offer and it will be yours. I am mostly interested in
selling it to someone that will keep it running and in use for many years to
come.
What would be a fair offer for this car?
Thanks for your help.
