Difficult warm start on a k-jet 200 1989

I'm finding my k-jet difficult to start on a warm engine that has sat for more than 5 minutes. I have to crank it longer and when it starts I have give it some gas to get the idle up from the starting 500 rpm. If not it'll die. After a few minutes of pumping the pedal and keeping the idle at 900 rpm the car will be fine. Starting on a cold engine on the other hand is excellent. It'll fire up on the 1st crank. Another thing, my base idle is at 900 rpm.

I've gone through k-jet org. My ignition I think is fine - plugs are new. Compression is also fine and my ignition timing is at 12*BTDC. CO adjustment was done after I had my injector seals replaced a couple of weeks ago.

The k-jet flowchart then suggest checking fuel system pressure. Unfortunately I do not have a gauge.

BTW this k-jet (non-us) has no egr and no oxygen sensor.

Appreciate where I should look into after this.

Thanks!
