1996 960 Changing Thermostat 900

Greetings,
When I change the coolant thermostat in my 960,(never been changed to my knowledge)do I need to have "gasket glue" or it acceptable to just replace the thermostat with new gaskets? Any advice would be appreciated.

Currently Own:
1993 940 315000 Miles
1996 960 300000 Miles
2004 S80 111000 Miles
