Loose vacuum hose? Where does it go? 700 1987

Hi guys,

I'm a bonehead. I replaced my plug wires, but I still can't find my flame trap. :P

While looking for it, I found a 3/8" diameter hose dangling under and behind the throttle body. I traced it into a bundle of wires and hoses that led to the gray vacuum canister by the washer fluid reservoir.

One thing that has struck me, there is a nipple on the top of the intake/throttle area that looks like it would fit this hose. Not ever having seen a Volvo engine in better condition than mine, I don't know if something is wrong-looking. Could someone post a link to a vacuum hose schematic?
