on a possibly related issue...is there any reason why the car would kill two new batteries in last 10 months? 200 1986

For better or worse, this battery problem is inextricably linked with my fuel tank problem. They both acted up at the same time. car just toasted the second battery in 10 months. The alternator is fine, as it started and kept running after a jump for 45 minutes. 3 hours later, the battery would not turn the starter. Thanks all, Shane
