Bulb Failure Warning Sensor (BFWS), Europe 200 1987

Hi

The BFWS remains constantly "ON" upon switching on the park lights. This has been driving me crazy this past few months. I have done the following:

1. Replaced both the brake light and park light bulbs, both for the rear and the front with the same brand and capacity.
2. Checked the headlight bulbs, both of the same brand and capacity.
3. Checked all bulb sockets for contacts.
4. Checked grounds for both tail lights front park lights.

All the the lights/bulbs are in A-1 condition. A couple of times while turning on the instrument cluster dimmer switch, the BFWS momentarily disappears and comes back later on.

There has been rare cases when the BWFS does not light up while driving at night with all the lights turned ON and while pressing on the brakes, the BWFS momentarily lights up and then disappears.

I have tried all suggestions mentioned in Volvo forums and I am running out of options. Fresh ideas/approaches are badly needed!
