Getting Inga ready for next and one of three remaining emissions tests. Hopes are high this year of good results after passing the higher speed test by only 5 points. A new set of wire, plugs, cleaned throttle body, new Cat Converter, and several other repairs and upgrades have been done. The Chrysler mod is in and have removed the old vacuum line and put a plug where the old connection went in the manifold.
My question is for a non Turbo 245 by the way.
The breather box has been gutted and plugged. And the hose and heat shield that covers the exhaust are gone. Did it to reduce the inspector saying looks like you have bypassed part of the emissions. Not that the guy I use is capable of that.
Post your feelings on leaving this off or on the car. Now Inga is a Gulf Coast car so she does not need the hose going to the breather box. But heat shield yes or no?
Yes! You need it, why?
Toss that thing overboard! Why?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Regards,
Paul
