Would you replace a rattling skidpad? Why? 700 1987

Hi folks,

My skidpad is falling apart. At stoplights it rattles pretty loud (thought it was my heat shields, but they are cool). No way I can figure to fix it (just fracturing randomly). It still is held on by 3 of 4 bolts, and still protects the engine. Would you spend the $25 and replace it?
