780 windshield questions 700 1990

I'm finally getting around to doing something with my 90 780, and I have some questions concerning the windshield. The one in the car is not in great shape, somewhat sandblasted with a couple of stone chips and a small crack across one corner. The car also has a water leak into the interior, which may or may not be coming in around the windshield (it seems to collect in the rear floor on the passenger side) so, I am wondering:

Is the 780 windshield unique to that car, or is it the same as any 7 series? My measurements indicate it is very close, if not identical in dimensions, but I have no good way to measure the curvature.

How is the black trim molding around the glass attached? Is it mounted to the body with clips, and if so, are they the same as on a 740, or are they different? Or is it somehow attached to the glass?

Also in this area, is the cowl panel interchangeable with one from a 740? On the 780 there is a large black plastic vent grill, which on mine is cracked and has a small piece missing. It is also bent down a little at one end (the worst body damage anywhere on the car) I have a perfect one from a 90 740, and would like to use it if possible to replace the original one, even though it doesn't look identical. (slots in the metal and a screen instead of the plastic grill)
