I just posted this in the sectioned labeled "ALL," but meant to post in the 700 since I own a 1990 760 turbo, which I forgot to mention. I also forgot to mention that the odometer and turbo indicator both function as they should while the speedometer is suffering the following problem. Sorry for the dual posts.
Hello all,
The last few days my speedometer has been acting up. When I'm driving, it bounces all over the place, though usually somewhere between 0 and 40, and completely out of sync with the speed I am actually going. When I'm stopped it usually drops down to zero. At the same time this started happening the anti-lock break light on the dash came on.
Recently, with the great help of many people on this forum, I replaced a faulty power stage. In the process of trial and error I also replaced the fuel injection relay and the radio suppression relay...I'm not sure if this would have any effect on the speedometer, but I though I would mention it in case it does.
I'm on my way to check out the FAQ, but I thought I'd put this out there too. From reading old posts it doesn't seem like speedometer-related inquiries get too many responses, but as always, any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a ton in advance,
-Mark
