Purely hypotheical 120-130

So I'm sitting around bored last night, and I got this idea: Take a 122 and replace the engine with a rotary engine out of a late-80s RX7. sounds totally logical, right? Round peg in a square hole. and a lot of trouble for not a lot more horse power (about 40 more HP if you're going with the non-turbo version). Aside from being able to say that you actually did the conversion, what's the point? It would only be worth it if you could turn a 122 into a mid-engined car in the process and greatly improve its handling.

So for the sake of furthering my own dementia, I need a few questions answered: does anyone know the distance from the centerline of the front wheels to the firewall on a 122? I know the rotary engines a much shorter (front to back) than an inline four, but is is short enough to put everything behind the wheels without building a new firewall? Does anyone know the weight of the engine/transmission of a stock b20 setup? I'm interested to knwo huch weight I'd be shaving off a the stock setup. These cars are already very light, and it would be really neat to get one under 2000 lbs. A rotary engine might help it on its way.

Thanks!
