I picked up a 89 760GLE 2.8 non turbo from my inlaws cause the tranny went south on them.i replaced the tranny and thats fine now,the problem i have is the car will not go pass 2600rpm it will shut down as if i turned the key off,when i replaced the trans i bent up the thing that goes around the fly wheel so it wouldnt start,i went back under and straighten it out and the car fired right up,but when i press lightly on the pedal to bring the rpm up it will hasatate at 1100rpm as i press down alittle moreit will jump up to 2000rpm where it should be if it didnt hasatate.any help will be helpiful to me,I think my inlaws have it out for me for giving me this brick,this is my first volvo and i do like this car it would be ashame to junk it.so please help if you guys (and gals)can
