exhaust leak at O2 sensor 900 1995

The posting title says it all. My 945 (NA) puffs like a Farm-all near the O2 sensor at the Catalytic converter. While this doesn't really affect drivability, the noise is somewhat annoying and I figure the leak may make my fuel efficiency less accurate than it might be because of the associated error in the O2 sensor.

Before I order a new cat, is there an easy welding solution a local shop might be able to do to give me a short-term (1-2yr) fix?

Thanks in advance.
