Blower slows down and stops as the engine is going uphill and then returns when we go downhill 900 1993

I have a '93 960 with 285K
when the A/C is on and we go up a hill, the blower stops and then it resumes as we crest the hill.......Definitely it is the blower motor itself that is stopping. It doesn't matter if the control switch is on Auto or a number....
This happened a few years ago and i kept describing it to the dealer as "the A/C stopping".....it didn't get fixed until i described it as the "Blower stopping". It seemed like the front desk guy ran in the back and came back a few minutes later and it was fixed.
Then, last summer i had to replace the heater core and I took everything out. When I got it all back in and working, the above problem resurfaced again!!!
Does anyone have any ideas?? Thanks...
