weird vacuum hose on 89 740 DOGwagon 700 1989

I have a hose that comes off the middle top of the intake manifold,curls down&has a plastic saucer shaped fitting,[one way valve]
&a tee that comes off to tie in a hose to the firewall[.I guess thats for vacuum to the heat/air duct control ]
anyway the main hose continues to the front by the left side of the radiator&SEEMS TO go to the right side of the front bumper.
I don't have a jack&can't see where its supposed to go .ANY ideas??/
