ACC AC heater control unit 900

I have a -93 960 with AC comp[ressor not engaging. I jumped it to the battery and got the compressor running. Pulled the ACC / control unit on the dash and resoldered some of the the contact points per posting / FAQ here...could not see any bad ones even with magnafying glass but re did some anyways.
Put back in with no difference, compressor still not engaging...
Guessing the ACC unit is still hte culprit and want to get a used one to swap and see. Found a used one for -95-96 960 that looks the smae on the face, same controls..- not sure if the electro9nics are the same though??
Anyone knows if the 95/96 ACC would work on my -93?
I do have the auto climate function...

Or any other ideas to get the AC working?
I did originally try to re-fill with 134 but it wouldn't take any since the compressor has to run for this...

Any ideas helpful.
