New to the brickboard & volvos I just picked up a couple projects, a 59 PV544 and a 61 122S both are in orginial condition and are complete cars, hoping to learn more about the cars and have a little fun on the weekends.
On to my problem, the 1961 Volvo 122S. Can't get it started. First thing I did was pull the fuel tank and flush it with fuel tank cleaner, next I sprayed carb cleaner in the lines and cleaned it out using an air compressor. I replaced the line from the glass top fuel pump to the carbs. After all that I tride starting and I'm not getting fuel. I believe I am not getting gas to the carbs/fuel pump not pumping. I took the fuel pump off and cleaned it up with carb cleaner and everything inside was gummed up but is now moving freely, reinstalled but it still doesn't seem to get fuel to the carbs. I sprayed starting fluid at the air inlets and it turns and starts for a few seconds but shuts off. I've tried the choke out and in, but I am at a brick wall. Need some help, any suggestions would be appreciated.
