I posted about this problem a week or two ago and the thread died, so I'm restarting it here.
My 240 has had an issue for a while with starting. The engine will turn but the car coughs and dies. When this happens, I have to keep my foot on the gas to keep the car from dying. Sometimes, once I start driving, the car will stop running at a turn or a stoplight *(this is when its on the worst). The problem occurs more often in hot weather and more often when the tank is half empty.
According to the advice of this site, I replaced the Transfer Fuel pump. The replacement went without a hitch but the problem is still here and maybe worse. I do not know where to go from here. My only other thoughts are main fuel pump and maybe some clogged lines or something.
I haven't been left stranded, yet, it always goes eventually........
Any advice would be helpful!
Thanks
