Radio amp fuse blows 900 1992

Every now and then my radio amp fuse blows and the speakers in the doors dont work.I disconected the amp and the fuse dosnt blow. I conected the round plug and its still fine.When i conect the rectangle plug it blows the fuse.It looks like i have a short somewhere.Could a speaker wire with a short to earth do this.Where should i start looking.As it may work fine for a few days, i dont think the fault is within the amp.?Any ideas.
