Hi guys,

I'm contacting the salvage yard in Asheville (30 mi away) about a AW70L I saw in the car-part.com database. What questions do I need to ask them about this transmission? What parts will I need from them, and which parts would I need to buy new?

I have an AW70L in there already (converted from ZF), so I expect I won't need a new axle.

Can you replace a transmission by putting the front end on ramps, rather than on 4 jackstands like the FAQ describes?
