what the 'ell, broke fuel pump return line plastic thing--how to replace? 700 1990

all,
while working on the rex/regina system, i was putting back together the fuel pump hoses of my brother's 745. i had been trying to track down why his car won't start ( see earlier post).

i broke that plastic slip-on fitting.
here's a previous pic.

after i broke the fitting, i tried to take out the plastic fitting part still in the hose (return line?).

i couldn't get it out, and what do i do about that silly fitting that slides off? does volvo have a replacement part?

still learning these silly regina cars.
