{{ All the below was on my wifes '94 940T w/269K. Really hard, hot work with the humidity ..just thankful it worked out. }}
First I did a search on 'seized plug, RWD. Thanks to the BB for some good hints from many knowledgeable owners.
I did it a bit different but with the same results. Took a syringe with a long needle - used that to get the PB Blaster right in there next to the head. Cranked car and let it warm to the middle of the gauge, about 9-10 minutes. Then I started the out 2 pushes, back one (read about the flats, not really sure what that meant).
All the time I was pushing and pulling, I kept adding a bit of PBB with the syringe at intervals.
Finally it was out. I then took a terry cloth towel, wrapped it over a large screwdriver - sprayed it down with PBB - and screwed it in the hole three different times, using a clean part of the towel each time re-sprayed with PBB. It picked up a fair amount of shavings. Better on the towel than possibly in the cylinder.
Put some anti-seize on the threads, worked it in and out a number of times. Cleaned the hole again with the screwdriver/towel - then put some more anti-seize on and snugged it all the way down. Good as new.
One comment. At the start, the plug would not move AT ALL ...I mean it was solid to the point that I felt I might have broke the plug with too much force. Motor was cold, so warming it definitely helped. The old plugs threads - the lower third - were pretty bad when it was finally out.
Just wanted to encourage those who might have the same thing happen. Thanks again to the BB!
