I think I'm done. 200 1993

Right, so after my air control motor fiascos, my 240 started to really hate me. I was driving along right after filling the tank up when the engine decides to die on me out of nowhere. Ohhh-kay, started it up and took it down a side street. Unfortunately, this side street leads to Capital Boulevard, one of Raleigh's biggest, busiest roads. All the while, it would run, then the engine would die and then start back up. I tell myself the car can make it and somehow, it does. But as soon as I get on a straightaway on Capital it dies again, but I assume because the car was rolling it starts back up and goes for a few seconds before dying completely. Pull over, wait, start it, goes 20 feet, then stops again. At this point I realize I'm gonna have to get out of the median and off the road. I get it up to the left turn lane and wait for the arrow. It turns green, and I floor it. Does the same thing: runs, stops (all idiot lights on) starts again, and then dies for good. Somehow, I was able to get across 4 lanes of traffic while under no power, and coasted it into a parking lot. After trying various fixes, it's still stuck. I got a tow down to a shop and we'll see how that goes.

But it's changed my outlook on these cars. I really have had a lot of trouble from them, especially this 93. I've been doing the 240 thing essentially all my life, from my dad's 82, to my 88, to my current 1993. I'm tired of having all sorts of obscure, expensive Bosch parts die on me. I dunno, it may be time to get this running again, sell it fast, and go for an older Honda.

Opinions? Replacement car ideas? I'm open to suggestions as to where to go from here.
