Ok so I read a week or two back on here that people were getting around 28-30 MPG. So I did the air box mod (door is held open for cold air),blew out my air filter with compressed air and added a bottle of chevron fuel injector cleaner and filled it up.
I 'm not the kind of person the check my millage closely but the economics of fuel now is just crazy. I drove 300 miles and then topped off the tank with 15.4 Gal
This was driving in Michigan (some hills) around 70 MPH and I have a Yakima car-top carrier. I am struggling to believe that this could be costing me 10 MPG. I have around 120K on the car and will probably be changing the O2 sensor and pulling the carrier just to see how much it has been hurting me.....
Any other ideas?
Please Advise as I would love a 8-10 MPG improvement. Our speed limit is 70 here and I hate the idea of driving slower. Has anymore measured the MPG difference in a V90 between 65 and 70 MPH?
Thanks,
Will
