240 93 left tail light wiring question 200 1993

No left tail light (brake light works). Right tail light works, but my volt meter tells me no voltage is getting to the left tail light wire. The wire harness splits near the left tail light and heads over to the right side.
Before I go any farther cutting open the harness - does anybody have any ideas?
Is there a single wire that carries the juice all the way to the back?
