rough idle for cold start...runs fine once up to temp 200 1986

start her up and she sputters and nearly dies untill the idle air valve opens and she speeds up in idle....sometimes she will actually stall....but starts again.... just put on new plug wires, distributor cap and rotor. fuel filter was done 2000 miles ago....i cant see any vacuum leaks and the metal oil cap jiggle test has been passed....any ideas?
