i was reading about fuel pressure regulators in the FAQ section. it suggests 2 tests...one disconnect the vacuum hose while the engine is running and the engine should speed up....mine does speed up...but only 100rpms or so...very slightly. second it states to perform an acceleration test with the hose removed....how do i do this? what should I look for? I know the many year old regulator is probably in need of replacement...for piece of mind, but I hate to do that without knowing that is what is wrong. I swapped out my fuel injection relay and put in a new filter, but I would rather not replace anything else until I am sure.
