Hello All,
I've been laying low for a while; life once again pulled me away from the old Volvo's. In the mean time I've decided to pull the plug on the '65 restoration project.
I'm getting rid of my 122. 1965 122, body rough but has engine/transmission out of the 1968; about 80,000 miles on it. Runs, drives currently but won't once I pull the rebuilt Ztherapy SU carbs, '75 electronic ignition, Bilstein/Spax shocks, electric fan. Basically I'm keeping stuff for a new project.
I could be talked out of the carbs and ignition, but want to keep my shocks.
If you are close to Lawrence, KS I might be able to work something out where I drive it to you and pull the parts. Ideally you roll up with a trailer.
I don't have a complete list of parts yet, need to decide what to keep. I'll know by the end of the week.
There will be glass and trim and a good B18B and M40, got about 28 mpg at freeway speeds; doesn't smoke (doesn't leak oil either, shocking). Second B18D that needs a cam at least; didn't smoke but low on power. Good solid gas tank, I had it refurbed at a radiator shop a few years ago. One fender good, one fender OK, driver door OK, passenger rotted. Good heater core.
I DON'T have interior parts to speak of nor bumpers.
She may end up going to the crusher but thought I would put the word out before it comes to that.
We're moving to Hawaii and realistically its just not worth shipping this car out there for 2K. It could be restored but I'm not sure how logical it would be, it has rust and got hit by a hail storm.
I'll be here until the 30th so drop me a line if you need a reliable drive train. I will also be going through my parts stash and thinning that out.
