I am hoping for some ideas. I will try not to make this too long
I love my red 245 - had it 3 months. The main thing it needs right now is a headliner. Thing is this car has an aftermarket sunroof (has leaked in the past, but is fine now), and a 'suspended' headliner. That means it is stretched from one side to the other, especially in the area behind the front seats. It tends to sag, especially in damp weather.
I was in the bone yard the other day, and found an older 245 - 89 I think. The headliner in it was just OK, but the thing I noted was it was bowed somewhat along the lines of the roof from side to side. Just about the place that the back edge of my sunroof would be was a 'ledge' running side to side sloping down that looked to allowing a place for a sunroof. I know that Volvo did not put sunroofs in wagons, so I am thinking this is their way of using the same pattern for a wagon and sedan, which in some 240 models had sunroofs.
So the question. Am I looking at a possibility of pulling a headliner from a 245 sans sunroof, and adapting that to work in my situation? I am hoping someone has done this or seen it done.
Thanks
