US 78 245 Fuel Issue. It sat but was run periodically. 200 1978

Hello. I appreciate the info that's here, but it's very difficult for my pea brain to sift out which particulars are germane to my model and year as i read thru posts. Plus I loaned out my Bentley manual. D'oh.

The car sat a lot, but always started and ran well. Now it has died suddenly on the road. It will crank willingly and will fire with a burst of starting fluid, but not run on its own. I hear no buzzing or clicking of pumps or relays.

I am about to try jumping the fuel relay, which is green and near the fuse panel, right? Jump fat red wire to, orange wire?

There is no "25 amp main fuse", right?

I would appreciate a concise summary of how to approach a K-Jet problem for this year, 1978.

Gas was topped off a few times over the last few months, and was full when problem occurred.

I did clean the fuses in the interior fuse panel.

It will be easier for me to test the "electrical" fuel components first before delving into pressures and blockages and injectors and the like...

Kind thanks,

Jon
