Have been having this problem on & off for the past month or so...

Sometimes starts fine, sometimes takes while & sometimes won't start at all. Doesn't seem to matter if its hot or cold weather, half tank or full tank of fuel, haven't started for days or started it 10 minutes ago...

The engine will crank but no start.

My knowledge is pretty limited but any suggestions of some basic things to check before spending a fortune would be much appreciated...
