Please help! My 1989 240GL suddenly has started to idle up. It idle at about 800rpm and then will go up to about 1800rps, then drop back down? It doesn't always happen, but now it sometimes happens even when driving. It also will stall occasionally. The check engine light also came on. I tried to have a friend put it on the computer to get the code, but his computer doesn't list Volvo. Anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
