power steering pump pulley and bracket

so heres the problem--1992 240 alternator makes a noise, (clicks on for about 15 seconds) noise stops for 15 seconds then goes on again. No other problems I thought. Upon closer examination i see that the power steering pump is out of alignment, i.e. the pulley is not lining up w/ the other pullies. I tried to adjust but i think i made the problem worse and its now out of round, i may have bent the pulley a tad.... not the smartest touch i know. Anyway i think alternator is on its way out possibly due to alignment. Any recommendations on what to do now? I have another 240 parts car and decided to pull the pump, pulley, bracket, and alternator. Don't think i can get pulley changed out myself w/o some tool,(puller) i guess. Should i take it to mechanic and let him determine what to do? thanks for your help.
