Rear-end gear ratios, Rear end swapping 120-130

I faintly recalled that the stock rear end gear ratio for a 122S automatic was something special a 4.30, I think. Would a 4.30 be better combo with an M41 or M40 over a 4.10 rear end with an M40 or M41?

Can the early style (circa 1965) axles be bolted up to later (circa 1968) car? I know that the torque rods are fairly different at the axle, but are the body mounting brackets the same on a 65 and 68?
