On my 1981 242 (non-turbo) I recently replaced the flame trap. While replacing it, I changed out the emission lines (there were two that run from the flame trap). The smaller one that runs from the FT to the intake manifold was no problem.
However, the line the runs from the FT to below the intake (it's roughly a 5/8" hose?) is brittle as heck and broke. Now I'm trying to remove the broken piece from where it enters the assembly below the intake manifold and it's absolutely stuck and hard to get to, I've tried to pull it off with long reach pliers for at least an hour. And, I can't tell how it attaches into that assembly.
Here's a diagram for reference. From the flame trap, I'm talking about the hose on the right that is routed up then down to the assembly below the intake. Specifically, I'm talking about the connection between that hose and the metal assembly.
