Sorry to make a new thread on the same day regarding my charging issue. I was able to pinpoint and fix the overdrive wire that was draining my battery- it was a frayed wire near transmission. Now I have discovered that I have a second issue with the charging of the battery- it is being drained when I rev the engine. It charges while idling but as soon as I give it gas the voltage drops.
I am thinking it is the voltage regulator. However, this is the second alternator I have replaced from Advanced Auto parts. I just installed this alternator about a month ago. The one prior to this about a month before that, and had similar charging issues. What would cause the battery to lose voltage only when the engine is revved up?
