Is there an "out of the box" (or easily improvised) solution for tightening the 24mm strut nut? Impact wrench zapped it off OK... though I've heard of folks ruining the strut insert by *tightening* the nut with an impact.

Seems pretty tough to find an offset box wrench around town... though I've been trying to adapt a 31/32" faucet stem wrench, which has potential... just impossible to grab the 10mm flat on the strut itself.

Why didn't Volvo go with 22mm like VW/Audi? Lots of cheap and spiffy tools for those...

Does the 740 use a 24mm nut as well?

Grumble, grumble, complain, complain.... :-)
