Hi everyone, this is my first post!
As a "newb" to working on my car, I am happy that my car runs after crossing my fingers and replacing the water pump, front engine seals, and timing belt on my 1990 245 with 206k this past weekend.
When I removed the cam seal, though, I saw that the seal even further in towards the engine had a very large tear in it.
I scratched my head, put the new cam seal in and figured that, hey, 1 out of 2 seals isn't that bad. Or is it?
I have noticed that I need to add about a quart of oil every 1200 miles or so, FYI.
