VIN question on model designation 700 1985

Hello,
I'm new to the world of Volvo ownership. I just picked up a very used 1985 760 with 248,000 miles. I predict many hours of fun at the pick-a-part.

My question is that I have tried to decode my VIN and the model designation (4th place letter) is a D. There is no listing for a D in the VIN decoder I found in the FAQ section. Can anyone tell me what the D means? I have verified the D by checking the title to the car, the plate on the radiator cross member and the stamped plate on the passenger side b-pillar.
